Software Tester – QA, Scope Control & Operations Lead

We are looking for a highly accountable Software Tester who will act as the Quality Gatekeeper and Operational Controller across projects.

You Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That

• No feature goes live without validation
• No scope confusion exists between client and team
• No task remains untracked
• No bug is ignored
• No communication gap affects delivery

You will operate in an AI-assisted environment and are expected to use AI tools daily to improve speed, documentation quality, and accuracy.

Core Ownership

You are the final checkpoint before delivery.

If something goes wrong in production due to missed validation, scope confusion, or improper documentation, it falls under your review responsibility.

Advanced Testing Responsibilities

• End-to-end testing of Web, Mobile, and Admin platforms
• Functional, regression, edge-case, negative, and API testing
• Cross-device and cross-browser validation
• Database-level validation (basic query checks)
• Version control testing before deployment
• Production validation after deployment
• Maintaining structured bug lifecycle tracking

Scope Governance & Documentation Control

• Convert raw client discussions into structured requirement documents
• Prepare detailed scope breakdowns before development starts
• Identify unclear, missing, or conflicting requirements
• Maintain change request logs
• Track feature-level development vs agreed scope
• Validate invoices against actual delivered scope
• Prepare UAT documents and sign-off checklists

Client & Communication Management

• Join client calls for clarification and validation
• Independently call clients when requirements are unclear
• Ensure written confirmation of scope changes
• Maintain structured MOM (Minutes of Meeting)
• Avoid dependency delays by proactive follow-up

Operations & Delivery Control

• Maintain daily project tracking sheets
• Monitor developer task completion vs timeline
• Escalate risks before deadlines are missed
• Maintain organized version documentation
• Validate release notes before client delivery
• Ensure zero unverified builds are shared externally

AI-Integrated Responsibilities

• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, AI testing assistants) for:
• Test case generation
• Edge case discovery
• Documentation structuring
• Requirement analysis
• Risk prediction
• Use AI to cross-check scope inconsistencies
• Improve internal process automation using AI tools
• Suggest AI-based improvements in testing workflows

AI usage is mandatory. Manual-only workflow is not acceptable.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and structured thinking

• Ability to handle pressure and multiple projects
• Manual testing experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Basic understanding of databases and APIs
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets management skills
• Experience using AI tools for productivity (Mandatory)
• Candidate must be from Kerala
