Senior IT Auditor

Robert Half Canada is currently seeking a Senior IT Auditor for an opportunity with an established organization. This position will support IT audit and risk activities across a complex systems environment, with a focus on IT SOX compliance, information security, cybersecurity controls, and IT general controls.This opportunity may be well suited to a detail-oriented professional who brings strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities IT Audit and ComplianceSupport the Senior Audit Manager in delivering an integrated and value-added IT audit function through IT General ControlsConduct IT audit engagements, including operational audits and SOX testing, using a risk-based approach focused on higher-risk areasReview IT operational, cybersecurity, and systems controls to assess effectiveness and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirementsEnsure audit workpapers and supporting documentation clearly support audit observations and conclusionsReview controls over existing systems to help maintain compliance with regulatory guidance and organizational procedures Risk Assessment and PlanningAssist with the development and execution of entity-level risk assessmentsIdentify and assess potential process, technology, and cybersecurity risks across business unitsSupport audit planning by helping schedule audits and related projects based on available resources, business priorities, and operational needsDevelop risk-based audit procedures, project plans, and work programs to support audit objectivesAudit Execution and EvaluationPartner with local teams, co-sourced resources, and leaders across the organization to understand business operations and control environmentsAssess the design and effectiveness of security controls across global information and technology systemsConduct detailed reviews of IT systems and infrastructure to evaluate whether controls support secure and effective business operationsContribute independent analysis related to security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance measuresConduct penetration and vulnerability testing to identify potential security weaknessesSupport the planning, implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of security measures designed to protect systems, networks, and organizational dataAssist in troubleshooting security and network issues, including support related to incident response and system breaches
