Job Summary

RAW Sports is seeking a highly talented and creative Social Media Video Editor to join our team in Calgary. We aren't looking for a typical administrative social media manager, nor do you need to be a professional camera operator. We need a creative visual editor who can take our raw footage from camps, games, and practices and transform it into high-quality, high-energy videos that match the elite aesthetic of the RAW Sports brand.

If you know how to time an edit to the beat of a track, understand modern short-form video trends, and have a passion for making sports content look epic, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Video Editing: Take raw footage provided by RAW Sports and edit it into polished, engaging short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and long-form highlights.
• Creative Post-Production: Use sound design, music, dynamic transitions, text overlays, and basic motion graphics to keep viewers hooked.
• Brand Alignment: Maintain a consistent, high-energy brand voice and aesthetic across all video content.
• Trend Adaptation: Stay on top of current social media video trends, audio tracks, and editing styles to ensure our channels remain cutting-edge.
• Content Organization: Manage and organize incoming raw video assets for quick turnaround times.

Technical Requirements & Skills

• Editing Software: Proficiency in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or advanced CapCut/Lightroom workflows.
• Visual Flair: A great eye for graphic design, typography, and visual pacing.
• Sports Intuition: An understanding of sports flow and the ability to identify the "hype moments" in raw game footage.
• Creative Vision: The ability to take basic raw clips and build a compelling visual story.

• Schedule: Hours vary based on our event schedule, ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week.
