Job Title: Junior Software Support Engineer
Location: Bhubaneswar (Primary) with support to Keonjhar operations
Department: IT / ERP Support
Reporting To: Senior Software Support Engineer / IT Head
Job Summary
The Junior Software Support Engineer will assist in supporting existing software systems and contribute to the implementation of new ERP/software solutions. This role is ideal for freshers or early-career professionals looking to build experience in system support, documentation, training, and data handling across multiple business locations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Software Support & Maintenance
- Provide basic support for ERP/software systems
- Assist in troubleshooting issues and resolving user queries
- Escalate complex issues to senior team members or vendors
- Help ensure system uptime and smooth operations
2. Software Evaluation & Implementation Support
- Assist in testing and evaluating new software solutions
- Support senior team members during implementation phases
- Help in requirement gathering and basic system checks
3. Documentation & System Understanding
- Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation such as:
- Basic process flows
- User guides and manuals
- Support in creating presentations and maintaining records
4. Training & User Support
- Learn new software systems and processes
- Provide basic training and support to end users
- Assist in onboarding staff to new systems
5. Data Handling & Migration Support
- Assist in data entry, validation, and cleanup activities
- Support data migration tasks under supervision
- Ensure accuracy of data during system updates
6. Vendor Coordination Support
- Coordinate with vendors for minor issues and follow-ups
- Assist in tracking support requests and resolutions
7. Process Support & Improvement
- Identify and report system issues or inefficiencies
- Suggest simple improvements in workflows
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in B.Tech / BCA / MCA / Computer Science / IT
- Basic understanding of databases (SQL knowledge is a plus)
- Familiarity with ERP/software systems (preferred but not mandatory)
- Good communication and learning attitude
- Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience
- Fresher or up to 1–2 years of experience in software support / IT
