Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Specialist to join our team, focusing on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of network and hardware components related to our legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legacy technologies and be responsible for ensuring the continued functionality and improvement of our network infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Maintenance and Support: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls (SS1, SSN2, Hirschmann/C4500 Setups). Monitor network performance and address any connectivity issues promptly. Assist in the configuration and management of network devices, ensuring compliance with design documentation. Provide basic support for network-related issues, including defects and resolution
• Hardware Maintenance and Support: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of hardware components associated with legacy systems. Troubleshoot hardware failures and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary. Perform lifecycle management, maintain an inventory of hardware components and ensure proper documentation of hardware configurations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement hardware upgrades and enhancements
• Documentation and Reporting: Update and maintain documentation related to network and hardware configurations, processes, and procedures. Create and update Work Instructions (WIs) and Manuals for network and hardware maintenance. Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Assist in the testing of network and hardware setups in lab environments. Ensure quality assurance for network configurations and hardware installations. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement testing protocols for new hardware and network solutions

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience in network and hardware maintenance, particularly with legacy systems
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and hardware components
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA Network+) are a plus
