On behalf of our automotive manufacturing client, Procom is searching for a Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Developer for a contract role. This position is hybrid and requires 4 days/week onsite in Cambridge.

Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Developer - Job Description:

The Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Developer will join an internal development team to design, develop, and scale mission-critical microservices and applications (including hybrid mobile components) that support high-demand industrial operations. The role includes gathering and validating requirements with users, delivering through Agile/Scrum practices, and providing ongoing production support and maintenance.

Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Developer - Responsibilities:

• System design and architecture.
• Full lifecycle implementation (design, development, testing, deployment).
• Integration with existing enterprise systems and third-party APIs.
• Production support, troubleshooting, and long-term maintenance.
• Engaging directly with stakeholders to refine and validate requirements.
• Ensuring performance, reliability, and responsive UI.

Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Developer - Mandatory Skills:

• Strong Java development experience (Java 8+) including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
• Strong Angular development experience (Angular 12+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing and building REST microservices in a distributed environment.
• Experience with Kafka (event-driven and messaging architectures) and Redis (caching and resilience patterns).
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and Git; experience with containerized runtime/deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with automated build/test/deployment and CI/CD practices for Angular and Spring Boot applications.
• Experience working in an Agile team; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work in Woodstock approximately once every 20 working days.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Comfortable with a hybrid onsite requirement of 4 days/week (WFH may be limited depending on project tasks).

Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Mobile app development (Android, hybrid frameworks).
• DevOps tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines, container orchestration).
• Selenium or UI automation.
• Advanced Kafka usage (stream processing, schema registries).
• JEE (EJB, JSP, JDBC, JMS) with WebSphere v8.5.5.
• Advanced data modeling and database design.

This is a 12-month contract (through March 31, 2027), with a possible extension.
