Status: Permanent, Full-Time The Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to own the day to day execution, accuracy, and continuous improvement of our AR and AP functions. This role is a key operational finance leader responsible for ensuring timely collections, accurate vendor payments, strong process discipline, and clean month end readiness.
This position is hands on, highly accountable, and central to maintaining predictable cash flow and stable finance operations.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Own the full AR lifecycle including invoicing, cash application, collections, credits, and dispute resolution
- Establish and manage a structured collections cadence and escalation process
- Monitor AR aging and DSO, identifying risks and driving resolution
- Partner with Sales and Operations to resolve billing issues and prevent recurring disputes
- Ensure unapplied cash and credits are addressed promptly and accurately
- Manage credit applications and insurance
- Create AR cash flow forecasts based on outstanding AR and average payment terms
Accounts Payable
- Own the full AP lifecycle including invoice intake, approvals, coding, matching, and payment processing
- Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments while maintaining strong controls
- Manage AP ageing and payment timing in alignment with cash flow objectives
- Oversee complex AP processes such as prepayments, blanket POs, freight, and recurring vendors
- Act as the escalation point for AP exceptions and vendor inquiries
- Create AP cash flow forecasts based on outstanding AP
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop AR and AP staff, setting clear expectations and accountability
- Balance daily operational execution with month end demands
- Ensure cross training, coverage, and consistent standards across the team
Month End Close and Reporting
- Own AR and AP close timelines, checklists, and reconciliations
- Ensure subledgers are complete, accurate, and ready for close
- Prepare supporting schedules and analysis for the Controller
- Proactively identify and escalate issues that could impact close
Process Improvement
- Maintain and continuously improve documented AR and AP processes and controls
- Proactively identify inefficiencies, recurring issues, and automation opportunities
- Partner with Finance and IT on system enhancements and process changes
- Ensure new processes are adopted and followed consistently
- Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of progressive experience in AR and AP, including people management
- Strong understanding of order to cash and procure to pay processes
- Experience working in an ERP environment (NetSuite experience preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear communicator with the confidence to own issues and drive resolution
- CPA or progress toward designation considered an asset but not required
What success looks like
- AR and AP operations run smoothly without senior level intervention
- Ageing, unapplied cash, and payment exceptions are controlled and improving
- Month end close is predictable and free of last minute AR/AP issues
- Processes are clearly documented, followed, and resilient

The salary range shown reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
