Job Overview

Probity is seeking a Python Developer / Database Engineer to support a high-impact enterprise initiative focused on modernizing system security through automation, continuous monitoring, and data-driven processes. This role involves building scalable backend systems, developing database-driven applications, and supporting cloud-based architectures.

As part of this opportunity, candidates will complete a 50-hour MongoDB training program provided by Probity at no cost, equipping them with hands-on NoSQL database expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python
• Build and manage database structures, queries, and data pipelines
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Support cloud-based data storage, retrieval, and analysis workflows
• Create automated workflows to replace manual processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues (break/fix, enhancements)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support full project lifecycle
• Contribute to system architecture and database design decisions

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Python
• 50-hour MongoDB training (provided by Probity at no additional cost)
• Experience with Django or Flask frameworks
• Experience developing REST APIs
• Familiarity with microservices architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, C2S, or other cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Docker / containerization
• Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI
• Proficiency with tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience with JSON/XML serialization
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
