Job Overview
Probity is seeking a Python Developer / Database Engineer to support a high-impact enterprise initiative focused on modernizing system security through automation, continuous monitoring, and data-driven processes. This role involves building scalable backend systems, developing database-driven applications, and supporting cloud-based architectures.
As part of this opportunity, candidates will complete a 50-hour MongoDB training program provided by Probity at no cost, equipping them with hands-on NoSQL database expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python
- Build and manage database structures, queries, and data pipelines
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
- Support cloud-based data storage, retrieval, and analysis workflows
- Create automated workflows to replace manual processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues (break/fix, enhancements)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support full project lifecycle
- Contribute to system architecture and database design decisions
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Python
- 50-hour MongoDB training (provided by Probity at no additional cost)
- Experience with Django or Flask frameworks
- Experience developing REST APIs
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, C2S, or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Docker / containerization
- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI
- Proficiency with tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence
