Procurement Specialist

This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage vendor relationships, optimize inventory levels, and uphold rigorous quality assurance standards for a premier real estate and development group.

Compensation: $35.00/Hour + DOE

Location: Sterling, VA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00A - 5:00P

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing supplier relationships and source new vendors based on capabilities, pricing, and quality history.
• Generate, track, and manage purchase orders from requisition to final delivery within budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring supply chain reliability and material quality.
• Forecast material needs and manage optimal inventory levels in collaboration with operations and production teams.
• Establish quality specifications, coordinate supplier audits, and enforce compliance standards (e.g., ISO, UL).
• Partner with the receiving team to develop and refine inspection procedures for all incoming materials.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing management.
• Strong ability to evaluate vendor performance, negotiate pricing, and manage purchase orders.
• Solid understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, and quality assurance principles.
• Experience with supplier vetting, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing standards (e.g., ISO, UL).
• Excellent communication skills to bridge operational needs with vendor capabilities.
