Company Overview:

Planet Fitness is seeking a Club Trainer dedicated to helping members achieve their fitness goals through personalized training, group programs, and expert support. This role plays a vital part in educating members, creating effective workout plans, and fostering a welcoming and motivating environment consistent with our Judgement Free Zone® mission.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead Planet Fitness group fitness programs in line with the club schedule.
• Consult with members to identify fitness goals and create tailored workout programs.
• Provide instruction on safe and effective use of fitness equipment.
• Encourage and motivate members to reach their personal health and fitness objectives.
• Create and regularly update individualized workout plans and exercise routines.
• Support front desk operations, including:
• Greeting and checking in members.
• Answering member questions.
• Assisting with membership sales.
• Address member concerns promptly and escalate to management when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of training areas and equipment.
• Assist with club events, workshops, and fitness challenges.
• Stay current with fitness trends, certifications, and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Passion for fitness and health with a genuine desire to help others succeed.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• Strong knowledge of exercise science and fitness principles.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Prior experience in personal training, group fitness, or similar roles preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to motivate and positively engage members.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing and walking during shifts.
• Continuous verbal interaction with members.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals in the fitness environment.
