This role is fundamental to our client's operations, involving the thorough investigation, evaluation, and resolution of insurance claims across various policy types. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of insurance policies, claims procedures, and relevant legal regulations. You will be responsible for interviewing claimants and witnesses, inspecting damaged property, analyzing claim details, and negotiating settlements to ensure fair and timely claim closure. This position requires excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills, along with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service during challenging times.

Key responsibilities include:

Investigating complex insurance claims by gathering information from various sources, including policyholders, witnesses, and relevant documentation. Conducting detailed inspections of damaged property (e.g., vehicles, homes, businesses) to assess the extent of the loss. Analyzing insurance policies to determine coverage and applicability to the specific claim. Estimating repair costs and determining the fair settlement value of claims based on policy terms and loss assessments. Negotiating settlements with policyholders and their representatives in a fair and efficient manner. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive claim files, documenting all activities, findings, and decisions. Ensuring compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Providing clear and empathetic communication to claimants throughout the claims process, explaining coverage, procedures, and outcomes. Collaborating with internal departments, such as underwriting and legal, to resolve complex claim issues. Identifying potential fraud indicators and escalating suspicious claims for further investigation. Attending required training sessions and continuing education to stay updated on insurance practices and regulations.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 6 years of experience as a claims adjuster in the insurance industry is essential. Proven experience handling a variety of claim types (e.g., property, auto, liability) is required. A strong understanding of insurance principles, policy interpretation, and claims management processes. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications. Relevant insurance certifications (e.g., CPCU) are a significant advantage. This role is office-based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, IN and requires a strong on-site presence.
