Senior Fleet Operations Manager

Our client, a prominent logistics and transportation company, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Fleet Operations Manager to join their team in **Mysuru, Karnataka, IN**. This role is pivotal in overseeing the efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness of the company's extensive fleet of vehicles. You will be responsible for managing fleet maintenance, driver performance, route optimization, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations. Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce operational costs, and improve delivery times. Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, including vehicle dispatch, scheduling, and route planning. Manage the fleet maintenance program, ensuring all vehicles are regularly serviced, inspected, and kept in optimal working condition. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national transportation regulations, including safety standards, licensing, and permits. Monitor driver performance, conduct regular reviews, and implement training programs to enhance safety and efficiency. Manage fuel procurement and consumption, implementing strategies to minimize fuel costs. Utilize fleet management software and technology to track vehicle location, performance, and maintenance needs. Analyze fleet data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Manage relationships with third-party vendors for maintenance, repairs, and fuel services. Develop and manage the fleet operations budget, ensuring cost control and financial accountability. Lead and mentor a team of dispatchers, drivers, and maintenance personnel. Implement and enforce safety protocols and accident prevention programs. Investigate and resolve any operational issues or disruptions impacting the fleet. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet management or a similar role within the transportation or logistics industry. Proven track record of managing large fleets and optimizing operational efficiency. In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, regulatory compliance, and safety standards in the transportation sector. Experience with fleet management software and technologies. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
