  • Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments of vehicle engines, including internal combustion engines, hybrid powertrains, and associated systems.
  • Perform intricate engine repairs, rebuilds, and overhauls with precision and efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment, such as scan tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and bore scopes, to accurately identify faults.
  • Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins to guide repair processes.
  • Manage workflow, prioritize repair orders, and ensure timely completion to meet service level agreements and customer expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure all repairs are performed according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed in the shop management system.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle condition, repair recommendations, and estimated completion times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Automotive Technician, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in engine repair and diagnostics.
  • In-depth knowledge of engine mechanics, including gasoline, diesel, and hybrid powertrains.
  • Proficiency in using a wide array of automotive diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent understanding of vehicle electrical systems and their interaction with engine components.
  • Relevant certifications from recognized automotive bodies (e.g., ASE) are highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
