Our client, a leading educational institution in Nagpur, Maharashtra, is seeking an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to provide specialized support and guidance to students, educators, and parents. This pivotal role involves assessing and addressing the learning, behavioral, and emotional needs of students, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with school staff to create supportive learning environments. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology or a closely related field, coupled with substantial clinical experience and a deep understanding of child development, learning theories, and mental health. You will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, diagnosing learning disabilities and behavioral issues, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. This position is based on-site in Nagpur, offering a collaborative work setting within a dedicated team of educational professionals. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges in students. Diagnose learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and emotional/behavioral issues. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and therapeutic strategies. Provide counseling and support to students facing academic, social, or emotional difficulties. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to create supportive learning environments. Facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and parents on relevant psychological topics. Consult with other professionals, such as pediatricians and therapists, as needed. Maintain accurate and confidential student records. Stay current with research and best practices in educational psychology. Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide mental health initiatives. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field. Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in the relevant jurisdiction. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Educational Psychologist, preferably in a school setting. Expertise in child and adolescent development, learning theories, and psychopathology. Proficiency in administering and interpreting various psychological assessment tools. Strong counseling and therapeutic intervention skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff. Experience in developing and delivering training programs. Commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality.
