Senior Construction Project Manager

Our client, a leading firm in the construction sector, is seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee major projects in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, IN . The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, strong organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, regulations, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Develop detailed project plans and timelines, coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues proactively. Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, approving invoices, and reporting on financial performance. Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with all local building codes, permits, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders. Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment on project sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction project management. Demonstrated experience managing large-scale commercial or residential construction projects. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6). Strong understanding of contract negotiation and administration. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively. Valid professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are highly desirable. Experience working in the Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, IN area is an advantage.
