Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of novel chemical processes from laboratory scale to pilot and commercial production. Conduct rigorous process modeling and simulation to predict performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize operating parameters. Develop and execute experimental plans for process validation and characterization. Perform HAZOP studies and ensure all designs meet stringent safety and environmental regulations. Troubleshoot complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions. Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to a team of chemical engineers and technicians. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, safety, and regulatory affairs. Author technical reports, process documentation, and patent applications. Stay at the forefront of chemical engineering advancements and identify opportunities for technological innovation.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Minimum of 10 years of experience in process development and engineering, with a strong emphasis on scale-up and commercialization. Demonstrated expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools. Proven track record in leading complex projects and delivering results in a demanding environment. Exceptional understanding of chemical engineering principles and their practical application. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders. Experience in hazardous material handling and process safety management is highly desirable.
