Online Curriculum Developer

A prestigious educational institution is seeking an innovative Online Curriculum Developer to join their dedicated team. This role is integral to designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective online courses for a diverse student population. You will be responsible for creating high-quality educational content, including lesson plans, interactive modules, assessments, and supplementary materials, all tailored for a digital learning environment. Collaboration with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and faculty members is essential to ensure curriculum alignment with learning objectives and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pedagogical principles, online learning technologies, and instructional design methodologies. You will conduct needs analyses, research current educational trends, and utilize learning management systems (LMS) to deliver a seamless and enriching student experience. Experience in educational technology and a passion for fostering student success in an online setting are highly valued. This position requires a creative mindset, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will play a key role in shaping the future of online education for our students, ensuring our programs are relevant, rigorous, and accessible. Responsibilities include designing and developing online course content for various subjects, creating engaging multimedia learning materials, developing effective assessment strategies and tools, collaborating with faculty to integrate course content into the LMS, providing instructional design support and consultation, staying current with advancements in e-learning and instructional technology, ensuring all curriculum adheres to quality standards and accreditation requirements, and conducting pilot testing and revisions of online courses. Qualifications include a Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field; a minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development and online instructional design; proven experience with learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas); strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM); excellent written and verbal communication skills; and a strong portfolio showcasing previous online course development.
