Our client is seeking an innovative Online Curriculum Developer to join their esteemed educational institution in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, IN . This role is essential in designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective online courses and learning materials that align with pedagogical best practices and institutional standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, curriculum development, and e-learning technologies. You will work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs), faculty, and instructional technologists to translate traditional course content into dynamic online formats. This includes designing learning objectives, structuring course content, developing multimedia assets (videos, interactive simulations, quizzes), and creating assessments that accurately measure student learning outcomes.
Responsibilities encompass the full lifecycle of curriculum development, from initial needs assessment and content creation to pilot testing, revision, and ongoing maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring that all online courses are accessible, user-friendly, and conducive to a positive learning experience. Expertise in various learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard is crucial. The candidate will also be involved in evaluating and recommending new educational technologies and platforms to enhance the online learning environment. Staying current with trends in online education, adult learning principles, and digital pedagogy is a key aspect of this role. You will facilitate training sessions for faculty on effective online teaching strategies and provide ongoing support for course delivery. The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving educational needs is paramount. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing online courses for higher education or professional training. Proven expertise in instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theories. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate). Experience in creating multimedia content, including video production and interactive elements. Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty and technical staff. A portfolio showcasing successful online curriculum development projects is highly desirable.
