ROLE OVERVIEW: Our client is seeking a Junior Power Platform Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in software development who is eager to apply and expand their technical skills within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. You’ll work alongside experienced developers and consultants to build, configure, and enhance business applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse — helping clients streamline operations and solve complex business challenges. As this is a client-facing role, you’ll collaborate with customers to gather requirements, demonstrate solutions, and ensure successful project outcomes.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

Reports directly to the Implementation Manager and works closely with:

  • Project Managers and Implementation Consultants
  • Development Manager and Software Developers
  • QA and Testing Teams
  • Client stakeholders and end users

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop, customize, and deploy business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.

· Collaborate with senior developers and consultants to design scalable, maintainable solutions.

· Extend Power Platform applications with custom code (C# or JavaScript) where required.

· Support data modeling and integration efforts with other systems.

· Participate directly in client meetings, discovery sessions, and solution workshops to understand business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into practical technical solutions. This role is client-facing — you’ll regularly collaborate with customers to discuss workflows, demonstrate functionality, and ensure that delivered applications align with their goals and expectations.

· Troubleshoot issues related to app performance, workflows, or data integrity.

· Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, code, and architecture.

· Stay current with Microsoft’s Power Platform updates and new features.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· 1–2 years of hands-on development experience (academic or professional).

· Foundational knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) or a demonstrated willingness to learn.

· Prior exposure to Microsoft Power Platform tools — particularly Power Apps – Model Drive Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI — is preferred. A solid understanding of these technologies will be key to your success in this role, as you’ll be expected to actively build and enhance applications within this ecosystem.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail.

· Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical skills.

· Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.

· Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· Some exposure to software development lifecycle (academic projects, internships, or professional experience).

· Familiarity with REST APIs, data structures, or object-oriented programming principles is an asset.

· Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g. PL-100, PL-200, or PL-400) are an advantage but not required.
