Underwriting Assistant (French-Speaking)

Location: Toronto, ON (2 days per week in-office)

An excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in Finance, Business, or Insurance to join the underwriting team of a leading insurance company. This role offers hands-on experience with underwriting processes, supporting both new and renewal business while delivering outstanding service to brokers and clients.

Fluency in both French and English is required to support international operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Underwriters with new business and renewals (quoting, rating, binding, and policy issuance)
• Maintain accurate policy data and documentation
• Assist with risk analysis and reporting
• Prepare quotes and policy documentation
• Handle mid-term policy changes and general account administration
• Serve as a key point of contact for broker and client inquiries
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships

Requirements

• Fluency in French and English
• Recent graduate (Finance, Business, Insurance, or a related field)
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or administrative experience in insurance or financial services
