Who you are: You encompass Oak Valley Health’s core values and live the words of respect, trust, commitment, compassion and courage You are a patient and/or client centered individual who performs at an exemplary standard You are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization skills Closing Date: May 7, 2026 What we need: The Social Worker will be responsible for intake assessment, providing group and individual therapy to patients in Outpatient Mental Health Services, on the Child and Adolescent team. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in program planning, development and evaluation. The role involves working with the interprofessional team as well as with community partners and agencies. What you bring to the role: Masters of Social Work degree (MSW) Current registration with Ontario College Social Work and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) A minimum of 5-7 years of previous experience with assessment and treatment in a child and adolescent mental health setting Clinical experience in working with child and adolescent clients who experience mental health diagnoses, and their families. Demonstrated clinical experience in leading therapy groups such as: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Practicing from a trauma informed perspective and understands attachment and mindfulness based practice. Experience with parent education and support groups. Excellent assessment, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Experience and willingness to provide virtual individual and group therapy using platforms such as Teams for health care if needed Previous experience with program planning, development, and evaluation of group and/or individual therapy Proven effective collaborative skills as a member of a interprofessional team Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power-point Demonstrated commitment to professional development Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required Work Schedule: The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday days (9am-5pm), with some evening work required for group and/or individual sessions. Occasional Saturdays if needed. Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.
