Who you are: You encompass Oak Valley Health’s core values and live the words of respect, trust, commitment, compassion and courage You are a patient and/or client centered individual who performs at an exemplary standard You are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization skills Closing date: May 11, 2026 What we are looking for: Your responsibilities will include: Ordering medical/surgical/housekeeping supplies and delivering medical/surgical supplies hospital-wide Having an understanding of where all the just-in-time carts are located throughout the hospital and how this storage system allows for the stocking and storage of supplies Design, build and revise layout of carts by using shelf dividers, drawer dividers and plastic bar code label holders Picking third party medical/surgical supplies and delivering them to units Checking carts for outdated medical/surgical supplies and replacing as necessary Maintaining individual carts to a regular state of order and cleanliness along with keeping them product specific to each corresponding bar code label on a daily basis Conducting daily audits of delivered items to ensure accuracy Reviewing and communicating with departments and supervisor of any important back orders from the just-in-time provider Breaking down all cardboard and returning plastics neatly inside the empty totes to be returned to just-in-time provider Uploading of par level cart into a handheld device by logging on and sending orders via handheld into the Pathways Material Management system Other duties as assigned What you bring to the role: Minimum grade 12 education and good mathematical skills Comprehensive knowledge of medical/surgical supplies from a patient care or stores setting is essential 1-2 years of recent experience and working knowledge of just in time inventory systems Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Proficient computer and typing skills Proven abilities to work effectively with minimal supervision and as a member of a team Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required. Physical Demands: Frequent moderate and heavy exertion: lifting up to 40 lbs., pushing and pulling carts for replenishing carts Intense visual concentration required due to computer work Work Schedule: The successful candidate must be available to work 8 hour shifts 7am - 3pm, between the days of Monday to Sunday including statutory holidays.
