CNC Machinist/ Programmer

Novy Manufacturing has an immediate opening for a CNC Machinist (Mastercam).

We are a custom machine shop that specializes in prototyping/machining in various materials. All of our employees are responsible for machining parts from start to finish and have their own workstations.

Candidates should have 3-5 years experience of machining with trade certification, previous CNC machining experience in Mastercam X platform and knowledge of 2D/3D programming.

Novy Manufacturing has recently moved into a brand new facility in Waterloo.

This is an immediate full time position on days. We have full benefits and competitive wages.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming and operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and schematic interpretation.
• Proficiency with MasterCam CAD software
• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling selection, and precision measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent math skills including geometry calculations necessary for precise machining tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$37.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
