In this full-time position, you will handle dispensing drugs in unit doses and preparing chemotherapy while managing inventory and utilizing pharmacy automation. Your role is vital in supporting patient safety and providing individualized care as part of a dynamic healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications safely to inpatients and outpatients
- Compounding chemotherapy and other medication forms
- Oversee medication reconciliation processes
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Control inventory and work with automated systems
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
- Licensure in Nova Scotia or in progress
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities
