Job Description

Enhance drug therapy safety as a Clinical Pharmacist with Nova Scotia Health in Northern Zone. This permanent full-time role involves overseeing drug distribution and providing patient counseling. The Pharmacist will report directly to the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services.

Core responsibilities include medication reconciliation, therapeutic recommendations, and supervising pharmacy support staff. You will also engage with the medical team during rounds, ensuring each patient receives tailored advice and education about their medication regimen. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage safe and effective drug distribution systems
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services and medication reviews
  • Participate in medical rounds and patient education
  • Develop discharge medication calendars and counseling
  • Support training for pharmacy students and staff Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator
  • Minimum two years of clinical pharmacy experience
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
