Job Description

Role Overview:

You will be supporting the Assistant Controller & Lead Project Accountant in finance-related system & process improvement initiatives. Your role will involve working with the financial systems solutions (FSS) team to understand and address the business needs using technology and process improvement. Your responsibilities will include owning end-to-end project components to ensure effective functioning of all finance aspects, such as subledger, reconciliation, accounting entries, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all finance-related system implementations to meet strategic growth objectives in a collaborative and rapidly changing environment.
  • Collaborate with project team members from various finance functions and corporate workstreams to deliver MVP approach followed by continued Optimization project scope.
  • Write, review, improve, and execute finance test cases in Azure Dev Ops.
  • Direct and execute D365 quarterly upgrade testing for finance.
  • Perform regression testing of ERP and ISV systems with a focus on accurate ledger & subledger postings.
  • Reconcile and validate financial reporting for data integrity within Sales and Finance Cubes.
  • Participate in agile work sessions, including daily scrum.
  • Own cutover activities during system go-live.
  • Review and enhance business process documentation for system projects.
  • Lead the annual audit of business process documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Perform General Ledger System Maintenance tasks.
  • Provide backup support for system issue resolution, staffing needs, and process improvement within the finance function.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6-7 years of related experience, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience.
  • Microsoft D365 and/or JDE Edwards experience preferred.
  • Exposure to accounting disciplines including GAAP, account reconciliations, financial statements, and financial software.
  • Ability to define, drive, and communicate the strategy and vision of system projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
