Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients experiencing emotional, behavioral, psychological, and mental health challenges. The role involves conducting psychological evaluations, developing treatment plans, providing psychotherapy, maintaining clinical documentation, and collaborating with psychiatrists, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. The Clinical Psychologist will also contribute to academic, research, and training activities within the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments, clinical interviews, and psychometric testing.
- Diagnose mental health conditions and psychological disorders.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports and case formulations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Provide individual, group, couple, and family therapy sessions.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, REBT, mindfulness-based therapies, and other psychological interventions.
- Conduct risk assessments related to self-harm, suicide, trauma, and behavioral concerns.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, counselors, social workers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, ward rounds, and treatment planning.
- Provide psychological support to both inpatients and outpatients.
- Conduct mental health awareness programs, workshops, and seminars.
- Guide and mentor interns, trainees, and junior psychologists when required.
- Participate in academic activities, case presentations, CME programs, and departmental meetings.
- Contribute to research activities, publications, and institutional mental health initiatives.
- Stay updated with current research, treatment approaches, and professional guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Additional certifications in psychotherapy, counseling techniques, or psychological interventions will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Experience in medical colleges, hospitals, mental health centers, rehabilitation facilities, or psychiatric settings is preferred.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate regulatory authority, as applicable.
