Associate Software Engineer Platform (Kubernetes CRD Operators)

As an Associate Software Engineer at Nasuni in Hyderabad, your role will involve working on building Kubernetes-native infrastructure for the cloud file data platform. You will be focusing on Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), controllers, and operator-based systems to translate real-world storage behaviors into Kubernetes-native constructs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to the development of CRDs, controllers, and platform services
• Implementing features within CRDs that model storage workflows
• Writing reconciliation logic under guidance
• Debugging issues across Kubernetes workloads and application-level services
• Writing clean, maintainable code in Golang or C++
• Participating in code reviews and team discussions
• Supporting testing, deployment, and CI/CD workflows
• Learning Kubernetes internals including Pods, controllers, and API basics
• Using AI tools to improve coding productivity and assist in debugging and learning workflows

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• 13 years of software engineering experience (or strong internships/projects)
• Proficiency in Golang, C++, or similar systems language
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts and Linux fundamentals
• Experience building backend systems or APIs
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred

• Hands-on exposure to Kubernetes controllers or CRDs, Docker/containerization, Git, CI/CD workflows, and distributed systems concepts

Ideal:

• Built a small project using Kubernetes or controllers
• Contributed to open-source or production code
• Demonstrated rapid learning in complex systems
