Role Overview:
You will be responsible for leading the Analytics Support Team, ensuring operational stability, incident response, and support delivery of all production analytics platforms and data pipelines. Your role will involve owning the analytics support function, ensuring disciplined support execution, and serving as the primary escalation point for business stakeholders during analytics-related incidents and recovery events. Prior hands-on production support experience is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the analytics support team, emphasizing support excellence, accountability, and customer-first execution.
- Develop team capability in analytics incident response, data issue triage, operational readiness, and stakeholder communication.
- Identify skill gaps and ensure targeted upskilling focused on support effectiveness.
- Own day-to-day production support operations for analytics platforms and data pipelines across Production, UAT, and Development.
- Ensure analytics incidents are triaged, prioritized, and resolved based on business impact and data criticality.
- Act as the primary decision-maker during Sev 1 and Sev 2 analytics incidents.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders during analytics incidents and data quality issues.
- Provide guidance on analytics platform architecture, data pipelines, transformation logic, and operational dependencies.
- Establish and enforce clear analytics support operating procedures including intake, triage, escalation paths, and ownership boundaries.
- Analyze recurring analytics and data quality issues and implement preventive controls.
- Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and change management standards related to analytics platforms.
- Continuously improve analytics support effectiveness through metrics, retrospectives, and targeted improvement.
Qualifications Required:
- Significant (5+ years) prior production support experience for analytics platforms or data pipelines.
- Prior experience in leading a data analytics support team.
- Demonstrated experience leading incident response and stakeholder communication under pressure.
- Experience managing or leading analytics support teams.
- Strong understanding of SLA driven support models and incident governance.
- Experience supporting enterprise analytics platforms or data engineering pipelines in production.
- Strong working knowledge of analytics platforms, including Dataiku, data pipelines, and data lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Python-based analytics or orchestration workflows used in production.
- Ability to validate remediation approaches and challenge technical decisions without acting as a data engineer.
