Azure Apps Developer – CMBC EAM Project (6 Month Contract)

Project Description And Background

This project consists of multiple planned waves or deployments related to the implementation of an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Supply Chain Management System.

Reporting to the EAM Key Improvements Project Manager and working closely with the EAM team and business stakeholders, the successful candidate will assist with the creation and configuration of various Azure components.

Services

Specific services to be provided include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Set up a private Logic Apps environment using Terraform and Azure DevOps YAML pipelines. This includes working with Shared Services (SRE) and Infrastructure Operations teams to configure Azure services and resources required by Logic Apps, such as:
• Azure firewall rules
• Subnets
• DNS
• API Management (APIM) access
• Azure Service Bus access
• Azure Front Door
• Application Gateway traffic routing
• Develop Logic Apps based on business requirements, including:
• Building Logic App APIs and backend jobs
• Creating CI/CD pipelines for deployment
• Implementing logging to Application Insights and Log Analytics Workspaces
• Integrating with services such as API Management and Azure Service Bus Topics
• Connecting to storage systems such as Azure SQL and Azure Storage Accounts
• Integrating with security resources such as Azure Key Vault
• Work with QA teams to create automated tests and ensure Logic Apps are designed to support test automation.
• Maintain and support existing and newly developed Logic Apps.
• Assist non-technical users in understanding technical solutions.

Deliverables

Standard Development Deliverables And Supporting Documentation Will Be Expected And May Be Modified To Suit The Scope And Scale Of The Program. Deliverables Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Working instances of developed solutions
• Source code
• Wiki or technical documentation
• Knowledge transfer sessions

Knowledge And Experience

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience provisioning and configuring Azure resources using Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience working in a Scrum Agile environment.
• Experience with Core Shared Services such as Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, and API Management (APIM) is considered an asset.
• Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
