The Product Technical Program Management (TPM) community at Meta is at the forefront of creating innovative technologies that connect people and businesses globally. As a TPM, you will be the bridge between technical execution and business strategy, collaborating closely with Engineering and Product teams. Your role will be instrumental in driving impactful outcomes by achieving measurable results across diverse areas. You'll define and guide high-level goals and roadmaps, monitor progress, communicate updates, and set functional requirements for new products and features. A strong technical background and understanding of system architecture are essential for this role, enabling effective collaboration across various functions and organizations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive technical product solutions to ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee cross-functional products and programs within a matrix organization.
- Help define the strategic roadmap for the teams you engage with.
- Design and implement metrics to measure impact and initiate internal process improvements.
- Communicate technology needs, goals, and milestones clearly to all stakeholders.
- Collaboratively establish a vision for creating state-of-the-art global products at Meta-scale.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans for on-time delivery, including daily coordination and quality assurance.
- Identify interdependencies and devise effective mitigation strategies.
- Quickly adapt in a flat organizational structure, aligning with technical program managers, product managers, and engineers to reach a shared vision for enhanced execution and solution development.
- Regularly communicate planning updates, project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships between product and infrastructure teams to understand adoption challenges and advocate for effective product usage and compliance with privacy and security standards.
- Contribute to product decision-making processes that align with broader company initiatives.
- Demonstrate a sense of ownership with a results-oriented focus.
- Establish common goals with product teams across the company to ensure alignment among multiple cross-functional teams, facilitating scalable product development for Meta.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management.
- Proven experience working across multiple teams and functions with a track record of critical thinking and thought leadership.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and multitasking skills.
- Experience in influencing decision-makers and technical management teams for effective system and product development.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills related to large-scale systems.
- Experience in building professional relationships with interdisciplinary teams and partners across different time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in delivering AI systems and infrastructure.
- Background in working alongside modeling and product teams.
- History of managing complex AI/ML tech programs or products from initiation to launch.
Public Compensation:
$140,000/year to $198,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
