Job Description
SERV is looking for a Training Coordinator who is a professional in the field of behavioral health and who will provide a system of training for SERVÆs programs and its employees. The Training Coordinator monitors training compliance following State and Federal regulatory requirements.
This position will assist in developing course curricula, delivering training, and measuring success for continuous improvement. The Training Coordinator serves as a member of the Training Department and works with the Director of Training to complete and improve staff training and development throughout SERV. The Training Coordinator will perform other duties deemed necessary for the agency. This position requires a flexible work schedule (possible evenings and weekends) and the ability to drive to various SERV county offices is required (including Middlesex, Hudson, Union, and Monmouth).
Qualifications And Skills
Facilitate activities, skill sessions, and discussions to provide an engaging learning experience that results in skill/knowledge transfer and retention.
Makes recommendations to enhance the learning experience and increase skill development.
Provide coaching and feedback to training participants and provide leadership and management of the classroom.
Conduct new employee Orientation, including providing Online Learning instruction, support, and guidance as needed.
Demonstrate ability to train all live training offered by the Training Department, including Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) and Red Cross CPR.
Identify training curricula/content in need of revision and implement necessary changes.
Assist in the development and implementation of new curricula.
Excellent presentation, communication, and verbal skills.
High competency with MS Office Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related technology.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to independently follow issues through to resolution; takes the initiative to problem-solve is detail-oriented, strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to use sound instructional design principles to enhance training/presentations. Can provide formal and informal implementation guidance, integration, and change management support tasks in a dynamic and interpersonal setting to support functional users requiring assistance. This position required a flexible work schedule (possible evenings and weekends); the ability to drive to various SERV county offices is required (including Middlesex, Hudson, Union, and Monmouth).
Required Licenses Or Experience
BachelorÆs Degree Master preferred. 2 years of applicable experience in the behavioral healthcare training field preferred but not required. Experience with organizational training development is preferred.
Valid driverÆs license in the state of residence plus a three-year driving history and a driving record in good standing at the time of hire.
