Job Description
Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Telecommunications Attorney.
Overview: Our client is seeking a government contracts attorney with deep experience advising government contractors, particularly in technology, cybersecurity, and defense sectors. This role will support a broad range of client needs, including regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and strategic business matters for both established contractors and emerging defense tech companies.
Company: AmLaw 200 firm.
Experience: 8+ years of telecommunications experience within a law-firm or in house at a telecommunications organization.
Location: Remote
Responsibilities Include:
- Advise clients on telecom regulatory matters before federal agencies, including the FCC, NTIA, and Department of Commerce
- Manage day-to-day telecommunications regulatory issues and provide practical, business-focused guidance
- Serve as a primary point of interaction with the FCC on regulatory matters, filings, and compliance issues
- Act as a liaison with foreign regulators on cross-border telecommunications and infrastructure matters
- Handle all regulatory matters, including preparation, review, and management of documentation and FCC-related filings
- Interpret federal communications laws and provide strategic guidance aligned with client business objectives
Qualifications Include:
- Experience advising on federal telecom policy, regulation, and agency processes
- Deep familiarity with the FCC, including direct experience handling FCC regulatory work and filings
- Experience interfacing with federal agencies and, ideally, foreign regulatory bodies
- Strong analytical, communication, and client advisory skills
- Ability to translate complex regulatory frameworks into practical guidance for a range of stakeholders
- J.D. and active bar license
Pay: $100/hour
