Luminous is hiring for the role of Production Engineer!
About the Role
As a Production Engineer, you will support the end-to-end production of TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar cells, with a focus on process stability, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency. You will contribute to equipment commissioning, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives in a greenfield manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Support the end-to-end production of TOPCon solar cells, focusing on yield, quality, and process stability.
- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and tool qualification during greenfield facility setup.
- Monitor process parameters regularly and report any deviations or abnormalities.
- Support the optimization of wafer cleaning, diffusion, passivation, and contact formation processes under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist the Engineering and R&D teams in process trials, experiments, and the implementation of new technologies.
- Follow safety, quality, and environmental standards across all production operations.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, log sheets, and production documentation.
- Support troubleshooting of production line issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in solar cell manufacturing. Exposure to TOPCon, HJT, or PERC technologies is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of photovoltaic manufacturing processes and production equipment.
- Hands-on experience with process monitoring, defect analysis, and quality systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt.
