Job Summary
The Pharmacy Tech- PRN allows the pharmacy to cover infusion medication preparations for safe and timely delivery of care to oncology patients at Kahlert Cancer Center. Works with pharmacists to prepare medications, screen prescriptions and supply patients with correctly filled medication orders. Performs tasks involved with storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs. Completes associated record keeping and charging activities. Works under the supervision of a pharmacist.
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred High School Diploma
- 2-4 years Pharmacy experience Preferred
- 2-4 years Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred
- PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Tech Preferred
- PTSR - Pharmacy Tech Maryland State Registration Required
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Good customer service skills and work habits are required. Attend CE meetings or accomplish necessary CE to retain certification Strong patient communication skills required, in person and via telephone.
