CONTRACT Toxic Tort Paralegal

Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is urgently seeking a toxic tort / asbestos paralegal to support one of our prestigious corporate clients on a fully remote basis.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: long-term, open-ended work

Pay Rate: $40+ hour based on experience

Location: fully remote, US based

Primary Responsibilities

• Open cases in the corporate tracking system
• Send cases out to regional counsel, work with outside / regional counsel on case management
• Paralegal is solely responsible for new case intake
• Attend internal case status and case review meetings
• Maintain trial schedule and coordinate with internal and external attorney teams

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Someone who can perform well under a heavy workload and lots of ongoing cases
• Someone who is good with technology and numbers - pulling reports, analyzing reports, providing insights to attorneys

Required Qualifications:

• At least 5 years' experience in asbestos defense work, or similar toxic tort cases
• Ability to work effectively in a remote position
• Ability to communicate effectively across verbal and written mediums
