Role Overview:

One of our clients, a global leader in the technology industry, is seeking a skilled R&D Systems & Lab Operations Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital laboratory environments. This contractor role involves reviewing, structuring, and enhancing rubrics to ensure lab protocols translate seamlessly into trackable, auditable workflows, supporting high-impact research and operational excellence. As a remote contractor, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, collaborating with a team of experts to drive innovation and excellence in laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and structure rubrics to ensure seamless translation of lab protocols into trackable, auditable workflows
• Design and implement workflow optimizations to enhance laboratory operations and improve research outcomes
• Develop and maintain electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) to support data management and process automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality assurance and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Analyze and optimize digital lab processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate lab protocols into clear, actionable workflows
• Experience with digital transformation, rubric development, and review, as well as process automation and optimization
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with ability to work remotely and effectively communicate with distributed teams
