Role Overview:

As a Backend Engineer (JSON Schema Developer) for one of our clients, a global leader in the Technology industry, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex raw documents into structured, actionable data. This is a contract, full-time or part-time opportunity to leverage your expertise in data modeling and schema design to craft robust JSON extraction schemas from intricate PDFs. Your work will focus on ensuring precise, scalable, and future-proof data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze complex PDF documents (25-150 pages) to identify and model key data points.
• Design comprehensive JSON extraction schemas from scratch, determining optimal field extraction, data types, and logical structuring—including deep nesting and repetition patterns.
• Embed field-level validation logic, such as sum requirements and nuances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and system scalability.
• Continuously refine and improve JSON extraction schemas based on evolving data requirements and system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in JSON schema design, data modeling, and data validation.
• Experience with data extraction from complex documents (PDFs).
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data types, and logical structuring.
• Familiarity with field-level validation logic and data nuance handling.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
