Job Description
Position Overview
You are the architect of iDC’s "Unified Data Fabric". Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you own the entire lifecycle of data—from extraction and replication to complex modeling. You will build the infrastructure that allows our proprietary portals and AI Agents to see an order’s entire lifecycle, from the factory in Asia to final mile delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Pipeline Development: Design and deploy cloud-native pipelines (Snowflake/BigQuery) to ingest data from CargoWise, ProfitTools, Blue Yonder, and NetSuite.
- Unified Data Modeling: Use dbt to clean and normalize "messy" 3PL data, building the "Gold Layer" models that represent the truth of our operations.
- Data Governance & Health: Implement automated "Health Checks" to ensure data accuracy across the supply chain, such as flagging discrepancies between TMS and WMS records.
- Support for Automation: Provide the clean data triggers and API connectors required by the AI Automation team to enable real-time operational handoffs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Expert-level SQL and Python: Proven experience merging distinct data sources (e.g., TMS + WMS) into a unified model.
- Modern Data Stack: Deep expertise with dbt (Data Build Tool) and ELT tools like Fivetran or Airbyte.
- Systems Thinker: You understand how upstream data errors in Freight Forwarding cause downstream headaches in trucking and warehousing.
Benefits: The company offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as basic and voluntary life and voluntary ancillary coverages for accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity. Full-time employees are eligible for paid sick leave, bereavement, holiday and vacation pay. Employees are eligible to participate in the company 401k plan on the first day of the third month following hire date.
