Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Department (Operations Manager) to lead and manage end-to-end operational activities across multiple sites. The role involves overseeing operational execution, manpower management, client servicing, compliance, business growth, and departmental profitability.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership to ensure operational excellence, efficient resource utilization, customer satisfaction, and achievement of business objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Leadership

• Lead and manage operations across multiple active sites.
• Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring efficiency and service quality.
• Monitor operational performance and establish KPIs for productivity and turnaround time.
• Conduct regular site audits and operational reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, client requirements, and operational standards.
• Take ownership of departmental planning, execution, and performance outcomes.

Business Development & Revenue Growth

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across various industry segments.
• Drive revenue growth through acquisition of new projects and service contracts.
• Lead proposal preparation, costing analysis, project feasibility studies, and commercial negotiations.
• Support business expansion into new regions and service categories.
• Build and maintain strong industry relationships to generate long-term business opportunities.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise operational teams across locations.
• Recruit, train, and develop supervisors, operators, and site personnel.
• Allocate manpower effectively based on project requirements.
• Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans.
• Foster accountability, productivity, and teamwork.

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and strategic accounts.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive relationship management.
• Conduct regular review meetings and provide operational updates.
• Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of client concerns.
• Identify opportunities for account growth and service expansion.

Project Execution & Technical Oversight

• Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper maintenance schedules and operational uptime.
• Coordinate with technical and maintenance teams for troubleshooting and breakdown management.
• Monitor project performance and operational efficiency.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain operational documentation, audit records, and compliance reports.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in Operations Management, Facility Management, Environmental Services, Manufacturing Operations, Infrastructure Management, or related industries.
• Proven experience managing multi-site operations and large teams.
• Strong business development and client management capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, MIS reporting, and operational management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive departmental growth.
