Loss Prevention Specialist

Position Purpose:

The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding company assets by preventing financial loss due to theft and fraud. This role includes ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs across assigned locations. Key responsibilities include:

• Using various tools to reduce losses, such as identifying theft and fraud incidents.
• Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports to monitor store activities.
• Auditing and managing Electronic Article Surveillance systems.
• Fostering a culture focused on shrink elimination within the store.
• Preparing precise and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
• Preserving evidence and collaborating with law enforcement when necessary.
• Testifying in criminal and civil court cases as required.

The Loss Prevention Specialist is also responsible for reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and performing job duties in a way that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, coworkers, vendors, customers, and the company. Integrity is essential in this role, as is addressing asset protection and operational concerns for all team members while remaining committed to store business objectives.
