Treasury Analyst
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Hybrid – 2 days onsite and 3 days remote per week
Assignment Length: Long-term contract assignment, expected to last 6–12 months
Compensation: Up to $45/hour

Company Overview
A global investment management and advisory firm with more than $20 billion in assets under management is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join its Finance team. The organization manages a broad range of investment vehicles across alternative investment strategies and offers a collaborative, high-performing environment with exposure to Accounting, Client Service, Legal, Risk, Tax, and external banking partners.
Position Overview
The Treasury Analyst will support daily cash operations, wire processing, settlement activities, and the maintenance of Standing Settlement Instructions. This is a hands-on individual contributor position operating in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment with strict banking deadlines. The role reports to the Senior Treasury Manager and requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to identify and escalate transaction risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor daily wire payments and cash settlements across multiple bank platforms and internal systems.
- Establish and maintain accurate Standing Settlement Instructions while following required controls.
- Review and validate payment instructions for completeness and accuracy before release.
- Identify discrepancies, unusual activity, or potential transaction risks and escalate them appropriately.
- Manage high-volume payment workflows while meeting bank cutoff times and internal deadlines.
- Partner with internal departments, administrators, banks, and other service providers to resolve cash and payment-related issues.
- Support process improvements, automation initiatives, system enhancements, and SWIFT/ISO 20022 readiness.
- Participate in special projects, including system implementations and new product launches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in treasury operations, cash management, or financial operations.
- Hands-on experience processing wires and working with bank portals, treasury management systems, or cash management platforms.
- Familiarity with SWIFT messaging, including pacs.008 and pacs.009, is highly preferred.
- Experience within investment management, hedge funds, fund-of-funds, or financial services is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of stocks, bonds, foreign currencies, derivatives, and other investment instruments is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
