2nd Shift Shipping/Receiving Clerk /hr + shift differential

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking a shipping and receiving clerk for the location in Hagerstown, MD. for 2nd Shift. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package.

Summary: Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Responsible for placing identifying information on material upon arrival at the plant site.
• Routes items to inventory.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintains flow of traffic through yard and assists in staging shipments for outbound loads.
• Assists in stacking lumber or moving product by hand as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• 6 months related experience
• Lumber experience a plus!
