Job Description
Job Purpose
Ensure identification of adequate security equipment, procurement, commissioning and its serviceability by regular inspection / interaction with user departments and liaison with the vendors or service providers in order to keep IGIA safe & secure.
The core purpose of this role is to handle AEP section and related functionalities i.e. Timely issuance of AEPs to entities functioning at airport, supervising the functioning of AEP section, Liaise with Concessionaires, Service providers, GHAs, Airlines, Government and regulatory bodies and ensure implementation of the AVSEC related instructions and directions as per BCAS guidelines pertaining to issuance of AEP. Implementation of CACS project of BCAS by enrolling all entities into BCAS portal and smooth transition from processing of manual AEPs to biometric AEPs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Performance Indicators
Ensure the efficient functioning of the AEP Section, including the issuance of TAEPs, processing of permanent AEP applications, and administrative functions related to the section.
Adherence to BCAS AEP guidelines
Accountable to the Regulator (BCAS) for all applications processed and AEPs issued.
As per BCAS AEP guidelines
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security's guidelines and norms regarding AEPs, including labor pass, must be strictly followed.
Adherence to BCAS guidelines
Ensuring the timely renewal of all PAEPs for various entities, including concessionaires, service providers, airlines, catering, MRO, and cargo, so as to ensure smooth airport operations.
Timely issuance of AEPs
Maintaining all records, registers, and AEP-related documentation for Regulatory Audits/Inspections with utmost care and attention.
Ensuring zero observation
Maintain and upkeep records of all AEP-related financial transactions for observation-free internal audits/inspections.

MIS submission to the regional office of BCAS in accordance with the directives and policies published by BCAS As per BCAS guidelines
Maintain precise records of expired AEPs, disposing of them in accordance with BCAS regulations, and updating the list of employees who have been blocklisted. As per BCAS guidelines
Ensuring the BCAS portal enrollment, biometric AEP issuance, and CACS project execution at Bhogapuram Internatinal Airport Adherence to BCAS guidelines
Maintain the AEP section in line with the BCAS guidelines and strictly adhering to the 5S. As per Policy
Ensuring the smooth operation of the AEP section by maintaining the serviceability of equipment and stationary consumables. As per SOP
Responsible for fulfilling any additional duties assigned to him by superiors on a regular basis. As per requirement

Under his or her supervision, the whole AEP section team, including the PAEP, TAEP, Commercial Pass, and Labor Pass Sections, Visitor Pass, Facilitation Pass, Police Background Verification will work.
Education Qualifications
- The incumbent should be a graduate , Must complete all required training and certifications, including BCAS Certification for AVSEC Basic and Security Screeners.
Relevant Experience
10 years’ plus experience in aviation security operations; Shall possess or can acquire the necessary leadership skills and required capabilities in addition to having adequate security experience and qualifications Shall have qualified AVSEC Supervisor Course; and Have ability to effectively monitor the performance of security staff.
