The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. Purpose of the role
This role is responsible for contributing to and/or leading operational demand planning activities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of forecasts, and driving continuous improvement within the demand planning process. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing data, and implementing solutions to optimize forecasting accuracy and efficiency. This role is also responsible for leading the team, performance management and development of the team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the demand review (DR) process to develop monthly volume forecasts, driving alignment to the best operational demand plan. Collaborate with marketing, finance, and sales to leverage various consumer movements, merchandising, and customer insights.
- Run the Demand Review process with an end-to-end look by forecasting for multiple channels.
- Generate data-driven business insights to drive alignment on key demand assumptions
- Collaborate with GIC operational demand analysts to develop the best item/week/location forecasts to achieve inventory targets while enabling superior customer service.
- Collaborate with the GIC Statistical Forecasting Analyst to deliver business insights that optimize statistical forecasting output for the business.
- Influence the commercial and business team to improve statistical forecasting adoption to reduce manual efforts.
- Contribute to new product forecasting assumptions and participate in launch meetings.
- Partner with the cross-functional business team to ensure a successful Sales and Operations process that balances supply and demand while minimizing waste.
- Metrics and KPIs : Engage / Participate in OU BPM RUN and Improve meetings to provide business insights on defined business metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing current processes and implementing new forecasting methodologies, tools, and techniques to reduce effort and improve results.
- Collaborate with the GIC Hub leadership team in contributing to functional OGSM development and other improve initiatives.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset through waste elimination, improving, standardizing, and automating existing processes.
- Mentor & train team members to develop SWAT capability within the HUB Demand planning team.
- Partner with the GPE (Global Process excellence) and OU (Operating Unit) team to work on process improvements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
- Master in business administrations – with specialization in Supply chain, Operations management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master in business administrations – with specialization in Supply chain, Operations management
- CSCP, CPF- Certified Professional Forecaster by Institute of Business Forecasting
- Minimum years of related experience required: 6-8 years
- work experience in Demand Planning, Demand Forecasting, S&OP, IBP , Statistical modelling or Supply Planning
