Established in 2017 with the purchase of the historic Bennett property in West Kelowna, Frind Estate Winery blends agriculture with technological opportunity.
With over 400 acres planted across 15 thriving vineyards spanning the Okanagan Valley, and another 250 acres to be planted, Frind Winery Ltd. has ambitious plans for future expansion, where our company stands at the forefront of viticultural innovation.
We are dedicated to crafting excellence in every vine, cultivating multiple distinct grape varieties including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Marechal, Foch and Regent, across our varied geographic locations from as far south as Osoyoos to as far north as Vernon.
We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to maintain current partnerships as well as identify, qualify, and follow up with prospect accounts and lead driving sales results. The Territory Sales Manager works with partner buyers or category managers to establish strong relationships with them. They promote the Frind Estate brand in their set territory of the Fraser Valley.
Responsibilities
- Services existing accounts and sign-up new accounts in set territory.
- Makes outbound calls to potential and existing customers in person, by telephone or e-mail to sell Frind Estate wines to increase sales.
- Provides product demos on request to qualified customers.
- Completes demonstrations that are accurate, thorough, and timely.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and timely sales information.
- Overcomes business and technical objections of prospective customers.
- Addresses customer concerns in a professional, productive, and timely manner.
- Handles inbound sales calls to convert calls into sales.
- Determines delivery dates to customer based on knowledge of Frind Winery Ltd. production and delivery schedules.
- Professionally investigates and resolves professionally customer complaints regarding deliveries.
- Attends trade shows as necessary as it is productive and contributes to increased sales.
- Analyzes the effectiveness of sales programs; recommends and implements changes based on findings.
- Develops, manages, and nurtures new business accounts and partnerships to accomplish profit and volume goals.
- Updates CRM system with notes from account meetings daily.
- Completes other duties as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
- Some post secondary education.
- Minimum of 2 years of outside sales and/or territory sales representative experience.
- Experience in all aspects of liquor sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience interacting with and managing relations with key account buyers.
- Minimum WSET 2 and Pro Serve Certifications.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License in good standing with a reliable vehicle is required.
- Frequent travel throughout the territory is required.
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs (i.e.: a case of wine) as required.
- Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
- Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a collaborative working environment.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to excel with new market trends.
- Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits, and other environments.
- High level of proficiency with the following software packages: Google Sheets, Word, Online CRM systems, Mile IQ and Sales Portals.
- Ability to conduct presentations and meetings.

What we offer
The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year along with the potential of earning a quarterly bonus.
It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday; occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
