We are currently hiring a Field Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to work with our customers in the Tisdale area.

• Wage: $42.62 - $51.57 base wage
• $5.00 Field premium
• Paid Time Off in Year 1: Vacation, sick and 7 days flex time
• 5.75% Employer paid pension, plus up to 1% additional

Job Description

• Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs (possibility of remote locations)
• Interface with customers, products and sales support
• Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Various related duties as required

Specific Skills & Experience:

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic (Agriculture, Truck & Transport and Automotive may be considered)
• Valid class 5 drivers license with a clear drivers abstract
• Dedication to safety
• Self motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are required
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing experience
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
• Power generation experience would be considered an asset

Important Notes:

• This position is based out of Tisdale, on a Monday - Friday schedule
• A condition of employment may include the ability to wear a respirator and be fit tested
