Position Overview:

The Yard / Warehouse / Driver Personnel role is responsible for a wide range of yard operations, warehouse tasks, and equipment handling. This position requires a customer‑focused individual who can provide service in a polite, professional manner while maintaining a neat and presentable appearance. Experience with load securement and operating various types of equipment is considered a strong asset.

Job Description

• Load and unload equipment on company trucks; inspect equipment before shipment and upon return to ensure serviceability.
• Report damaged or missing equipment to the shop foreman.
• Perform pickup and delivery of rental equipment as required.
• Carry out general yard, warehouse, and wash‑bay duties.
• Wash equipment and perform light maintenance as needed.
• Support rental counter staff by selecting rental‑ready equipment for customer transactions.
• Process equipment returns, verify fuel usage, and close rental contracts.
• Use the company’s computerized system to complete equipment inquiries and documentation.
• Install service tags on returned equipment and return rental‑ready units to proper storage areas.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and presentable yard and warehouse environment.
• Greet customers in the yard and direct them to the appropriate office or unloading area.
• Assist customers and delivery drivers with loading and unloading rental equipment.
• Provide customers with basic start/stop and general operating instructions for rental equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating rough‑terrain forklifts, counterbalance forklifts, compact construction equipment, or large construction equipment is an asset.
• Experience with trailers and load securement is an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of rental equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude to perform or recommend minor repairs.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Important Details:

• Monday to Friday position based at our Finning location in Lloydminster, AB.
• Work takes place both indoors and outdoors in typical warehouse and yard conditions.
• The role requires frequent lifting, walking, bending, and moving objects of various sizes and weights.
