Manufacturing Area Lead

Manufacturing Area Lead – $25–$30 per hour – Huron Park, ON

Our client is seeking an experienced Area Lead to oversee specialized rebuild and production operations in a safety‑sensitive manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for a skilled trades professional with strong mechanical aptitude, shop leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Responsibilities:

· Lead daily production activities within the rebuild shop area

· Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety policies in a safety‑sensitive environment

· Perform and document daily start‑up inspections for cranes, forklifts, pallet trucks, and shop equipment

· Oversee rebuilds including disassembly, coil winding, bonding, assembly, and final electrical and pressure testing

· Accurately track labour, production time, and job activity using Epicor ERP

· Complete and maintain production records, quality documentation, scrap reports, and inventory logs

· Monitor material usage and inventory levels; requisition consumables, tools, and repair services as needed

· Support capital improvements, shop layout, organization, and preventative maintenance programs

· Train, guide, and support technicians while promoting standardized work and best practices

· Communicate production status, issues, and improvements to management

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, work instructions, and ISO‑related documentation

· Occasional travel may be required for customer support, installation, or troubleshooting
