Role Overview:
As a Senior Manager in Marketing Analytics at Expedia Group, you will lead a team responsible for automating and extracting trends from channel performance datasets. Your role will involve transforming these trends into data products, performance insights, and actionable strategies to enhance channel performance. You will be the key source of truth for all channel performance data-related matters within Marketing Analytics, guiding stakeholders and shaping business decisions based on analytical insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze attribution and channel operations data to generate insights and explanations for performance trends, informing the business of the commercial implications of changes.
- Develop and deliver self-service analytics products to increase accessibility and speed in transforming data trends into commercial insights.
- Investigate data quality issues, differentiate changes in customer behavior from data quality issues, and act as the subject matter expert for datasets powering channel measurement.
- Manage project delivery by balancing long-term roadmap deliverables with ad-hoc and high urgency investigations while proactively anticipating support requests.
- Partner closely with Channel Teams, Finance, and Data Engineering to mediate between channel measurement data and teams relying on them for understanding commercial performance.
Qualifications Required:
- PhD, Masters, or Bachelors (preferably in Mathematics or a Scientific degree) with 4-7 years of work experience OR 7 years of experience in a comparable data analytics role.
- 2-4 years of experience in managing marketing analytical teams and mentoring data scientists.
- Strong SQL skills, demonstrated experience in using PySpark/Python for structuring, transforming, and visualizing big data.
- Deep logical thinking and experience in distilling insights from complex datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Ability to collaborate with other teams and disciplines to deliver projects effectively.
